He was predeceased by: his parent Julia Grato (Kozowski). He is survived by: his parent Antonio Grato; his spouse Lynda (DiMuro); his children, Joseph H. Grato (Dana) of Virginia and Jackie Skane (Jeff) of Melrose; his siblings, Marie St, Antoinette Haycock, Frederick Grato and Robert Kozowski; and his grandchildren, Justine, Jason, Jared, Jocelyn and Jake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
