He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne; his children, John and Mary Thonis Duncan (Dan); his daughter-in-law Margaret Thonis; his parents, Michael and Mary; and his siblings, James, George, Anthony, Helen and Anna.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Thonis Emmons (George) of South Berwick, ME and Tom Thonis (Brenda) of Rindge, NH; his granddaughters, Abbie Sinclair, Sarah Gale, Jessica Barger, Lexi Thonis, Brettan Middleton, Brandyn Sharos, Brielle Auguste, Sophia Thonis, Shannon Emmons and Hannah Emmons; and his close friend Esther Forget of Fitchburg. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
