Edward A. Williams Obituary
Edward Williams, 96 of Taunton passed away peacefully at Marion Manor Nursing Home on Saturday May 27, 2023. He was the loving husband to the late Irene (Casey) Williams.
Born in Berkley, he was the son of the late Norman Williams and Viola (Cahoon) Williams. He was proud to have served his country during WWII in the Army and fought overseas in Okinawa and the Philippines. Edward was always smiling and was everybody's friend, he was always there if someone needed help. He loved gardening and fishing on the Cape Cod Canal but most of all Edward loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Edward is survived by his daughter Renee Laffan and her husband Kevin of Taunton, his son Edward Williams Jr. of Attleboro, his granddaughters Amy Morrison of New Bedford and Julie Mason and her husband Sam of East Freetown, his two great grandsons Finnley and Ryland Mason, his sister Doris Robinson of Middleboro, and several nieces and nephews. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Casey) Williams and the brother of the late Ruth Wheeler, Helen Hathaway, Lester Williams, George Williams, Norman Williams, and Robert Williams.
A Graveside Service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery 475 E. Britannia St. Taunton, MA on Tuesday June 13, 2023 at 11:00am. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
