He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Burns (O'Brien); his son Daniel Burns; and his sister Margaret "Peggy" Evans. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Burns (Debbie), Dorothy Barme (Wayne) of Wilmington and James Burns of Stoneham; and his siblings, John Burns, Paul Burns, James Burns, Judy Richard, Roxanne D'Ambra, Frances Altomonte, Harriet Rosenbloom and Marie Wade. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
In lieu of flowers the Burns family requests memorial contributions may be made in Pops name to the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital (VA Bedford Hospital), 61 Springs Rd, Bedford, MA 01730 or to a charity of your choice.
