She was predeceased by: her father Robert A. Shurtleff; and her sister Kristin Holly Shurtleff. She is survived by: her mother Barbara J. Shurtleff (Miller); her brother Jason (Therese) of Holbrook; her nephews, Jason and Robert; her husband Bryan VanDeusen; and her pets, Apollo and Nala. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a local animal shelter or the American Heart Association.
