He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Smith and Doris Smith. He is survived by: his wife Earlene M. Smith (Orcutt); and his children, Mark Smith (Marybeth) of Gorham, NH, Brian Smith (Patricia) of Charlton, Thomas Smith (Tina) of Dudley, Carol Liro (Thomas) of Webster, Ann Merry of West Brookfield and Lynda Costa (Michael) of Uxbridge. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Saint Roch's Church, Oxford in memory of Dr. Smith.
