Goldsmith (Whittaker); his wife Mary; his son Michael (Keasa); his stepchildren, Rachel and William; his stepgranddaughter Morgan; his brother Bruce (Jean); his nieces and nephews, Gayle Eldridge (Ross), Deborah Dolan (Brian) and William Goldsmith (Jessica); his cousin Scott Collins; and his brother-in-law Dr. David Ellingson (Larae). He was also cherished by grand nephews and niece.

Edmund F. "Ed" Goldsmith Jr. passed from this life after a long battle with health issues related to Parkinson's disease on Thursday, 15 September 2022 in Federal Way, Washington at age 83.
