She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Lyttle and Barbara Tavares; her godfather Richard Wilson (Sheila) of Cambridge; her mother-in-law Lulu Irene Bigger; her siblings, Wardell "Butch" Loatman (Hyacinth), Saundra Tavares and Barbara Jean Tavares; and her niece Saundra "Digemm" Tavares.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Rivers; her children, Tonya Andrews, Michael Rivers (Alanna) and Jaison Rivers; her stepdaughter Rhonita Hargrow (Jerome); her siblings, Pamela Brimage (Omega), Donna "China" Sheers (Kim), Wanda Brower (Joe), Renee Tavares, Donald Tavares (Suezanne), Daryl Tavares and Scott Tavares; her siblings-in-law, Patricia Bigger and Frederick Bigger (Dora); and her grandchildren, Cheryl Andrews (Lavert Bradshaw), Chantel Andrews, Brianna Rivers, Michael Rivers, Chenita Carruthers, Julyanna Hargrow and Jheryn Hargrow. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
