We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2023, at the age of 91, Edward L. Newell of Rockland, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Newell and Mary Newell (Green); and his sister Barbara Creedon. He is survived by: his wife Celine M. (Costigan); his children, Thomas (Kathy Newell) of Rockland, MA, Elisa Chandler (Mark Chandler) of Rockland, MA, Eric (Lynn Newell) of Hanover, MA and Celine Newell; his grandchildren, David, Kerri of Crystle, TJ, Michelle, Matt, Kristin, Nicole, Melissa, Jared and Victoria; and his brother Richard Newell. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

His favorite charity was Toys for Tots.
