She was predeceased by: her parents, Costadinos Galatis and Theodula Galatis (Stavropoulos); her husband Michael F. Murphy; her child Thomas Murphy; and her brother Nicholas K. Galatis.

She is survived by: her children, Charles Murphy (Linda) of Waltham, Christine O'Leary (late James O'Leary) of Revere and Lorraine Pennini (Paul Pennini) of Medford; her brother John Galatis (Michelle) of Revere; her sister-in-law Sue Galatis of Gloucester; and her grandchildren, Shawn Murphy, Shamus Murphy, Melissa Tornabene, Ryan Murphy, Brian Murphy, Laura Marchese, Michael Pennini and Leah Polacke. She is also survived by great grandchildren many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and nephews.
