Walter F. Austin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter F. Austin of Plymouth, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gerard and Mary Austin (McGregor); his sister Marianne Austin; his nephews, John T. Austin and Brendan M. Austin; and his in-laws, Ernest (US Navy) and Mary DuBeau (Greene).
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne (DuBeau); his son Christopher Walter (Tricia) of Mansfield, MA; his granddaughter Jamie of Manchester, NH; his son Michael Joseph (Megan); his grandson Gavin of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his great grandchild Kerry Lynn (Benjamin Klaas); his siblings, John (Lillian), William (Ann), Michael (Lorraine), Paul (Mary), Rita (Richard Maciaszczyk), Anne Nichols (James) and Jeanne Austin; and also, Maggie, Austin, Sydney of Hyde Park, MA, Julie Michele (Michael DiGirolamo), Makenna, Molly, Emma and Luke of Plymouth, MA. He is also survived by loving cousins, close family members and countless cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cartmell - Davis Funeral Home (373 Court St, Plymouth, MA 02360). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Kateri Catholic Church (126 S Meadow Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360). The military honors will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
