He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick McLoughlin and Beatrice (Gunning) of Dorchester; and his brother James. He is survived by: his wife Helena McLoughlin (Kitchell); his children, Thomas C. Mcloughlin of Norwood, Helena Boccadoro (Joseph) of Ashland, Maggie Cignarella of Norwood, George McLoughlin (Diane) of Norfolk, Elizabeth Levierge (Jim) of Plainville and Theresa Rosmus (Michael) of Portland, Maine.; his brother John McLoughlin; his grandchildren, Cheryl-Anne, Anthony Boccadoro, Nikki Murphy (Eddie), AJ, Corey Cignarella, Patrick, Danny McLoughlin, Chris Levierge (Cait), Kristen Levierge, Kitiara and Logan Rosmus; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Levierge, Paul Monteiro and Kinsley Murphy.
