He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Boston Fire Lieutenant John and Mary McCorkle (Leary); his wife Rita (Pembroke); his children, John III (Kristen) of Walpole, Patricia "Tricia" of Norwood, Maura (Andrew Brown) of Norwood and Michael of South Boston; his grandchildren, A. J., Pippa Brown, John Joseph IV and Colin Robert McCorkle; his sisters, Joanne Edwards (Jerome) of Palm Coast, FL, Louise McManus (late George) of West Roxbury and Elizabeth of Braintree; and his close friend Jack Graham. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
