He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert E. Patenaude and Frances Yvonne Patenaude (Polumbo); his wife Suzanne Marie Patenaude (LeClair); his sons, Robert J. Patenaude (Joanne) of Clarksburg, MA, Mark E. Patenaude (Amy) of North Adams, MA and Scott M. Patenaude (Cynthia) of North Adams, MA.; his grandchildren, Molly Rose, Emily Claire, Brady Robert, Olivia Marie, Ryan Charles and Elynore Marian; his siblings, Louise Kaigle of Orlando, FL, Jacqueline Sanguinet of Leominster, MA, Judith Patenaude of Leominster, MA, Jane LeBeau of Cheshire, MA and Joseph; and his sister-in-law Jan Patenaude. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
