He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Leighton and Ruth Leighton (Taylor); and his siblings, Peter, James and Shelby Leighton.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Leighton (Beales); his children, Elizabeth Zacek (Justin) of West Yarmouth and Andrew Leighton (Amanda) of Millbury; his grandchildren, Christopher, William Leighton, Nicholas and Caitlyn Zacek; his brother Charles (Dorothy) of Watertown; his brother-in-law Thomas Beales (Donna) of New Jersey; his nephews, Steven, John and Garrette Beales; his niece Julie Leighton; and his caregiver Amy W.. He is also survived by friends and coworkers.
