He was predeceased by: his parents, Olive McKinnon (Lavasseur) and John McKinnon; his brother Robert; and his son John McKinnon. He is survived by: his siblings, Daniel, Louis, Alexander, David, Bruce, Richard McKinnon and Joyce Rowe; his wife Rosemary Giannotti; his children, Linda (Ken Hagan) of Marshfield, James (Kelli) and Kevin (Pia); his grandchildren, Erin Welch (Kevin) of Oregon, Courtney Siller (Justin), Lauren Brouillard (Tim) of Kingston, Zachary McKinnon of Weymouth, Riley McKinnon of Rockland, John and Noah McKinnon of Norwell; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Keira, Finley, Norah Welch, Hannah, Charlotte, Nolan Siller, Leah and Lydia Brouillard.
He was compassionate and faithful, after doing a job he signed his bills with "God Bless - Nick" and even as his Alzheimer's progressed, in passing with eye contact he would say "God Bless, have a nice day".
