He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Schmidt and Mary Ann Schmidt (Tinschert). He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Schmidt (Tummillo); his children, Jaclyn M. Walsh (Chris) of Mansfield, Tyler W. Schmidt (Katharine Ciras) of North Attleboro and Brian M. Schmidt (Jill Day) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Jacob C. Walsh and Aria G. Walsh; his siblings, Paul F. Schmidt (Lyn) of New Hampshire and Karen M. Kilroy (Thomas, Jr.) of Stoughton; and his goddaughter Jennifer Cupoli of West Bridgewater. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
