He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Mary Franklin (McCarthy); and his siblings, Susan Leach and John "Jackie" Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Franklin (Babajtis); his daughters, Katherine Rose Franklin of Portland, Melissa M. Franklin of Plainville and Anna Lee Franklin of Mansfield; and his siblings, James Franklin, Robert Franklin, Barbara Baird, Mary Mallett, Linda Tortora, Patricia Oles, Karen Tempone and Michael Franklin. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Richard's family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the West Side Benevolent Circle, P.O. Box 506, Mansfield, MA 02048.
