He was predeceased by: his parents, James McPherson and Dorothy McPherson (Melia). He is survived by: his wife Doreen H. McPherson (Dunn); his children, Heather M. McPherson of Mansfield, Michael S. McPherson, Jr. of Mansfield and Kelli D. McPherson of Mansfield; and his siblings, James McPherson, Janice Cavannaugh of Pembroke, Maureen Collins (George) of New Hampshire, Regina Ward (Ted Morrison) of Marshfield and Gerard McPherson (Vicki) of Marshfield. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Michael's family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
