He was predeceased by: his parents, Kaino Matson and Lahja Matson (Lampi). He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Scott L. Matson (Jennifer) of Everett and Sarah M. Gay (Matthew) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Grace and Garrett Gay; and his sister Judith Musgrove of Lunenburg.
