He was predeceased by: his parents, Saverio Lavorante and Anne Lavorante (Pepe); and his sisters, Angelina "Angie" Lezzelle, Antoinette "Etta" DiPietro, Philomena "Minnie" Kachocki, Jean DiPietro and Rose DiPietro.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn B. Lavorante (Ganci); his children, John Lavorante, Jr. (Theresa) of Salem, Debra Johnson (Neal) of Lynn and Richard Lavorante (Erin) of Peabody; his grandchildren, Sarah (Jarrid), Zachary (Mikaela), Cameron, Dominic, Regina, Mave and Maggie; his great grandchildren, Nathan, John, Daniel, Ramsay and Rosalee; and his brother Daniel (Gilda Lavorante).
