He is survived by: his wife Mary L McDonald (Murphy); his children, James J. McDonald (Jessica) of Hingham, MA, Brendan J. McDonald (Sarah Williams) of Inglewood, CA, Allison E. McDonald (William Schira) of Mount Horeb, WI and Robert J. McDonald Jr. of Denver, CO.; and his siblings, Jane Weiss of Lititz, PA and Jeff McDonald of Fairfax, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
