He was predeceased by: his grandson Jason; his parents, James McKinney and Laura McKinney; and his brothers, James (Jimmy) and John McKinney (Jack).
He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Ponte of Brunswick, ME, Nancy McKinney Hilmy of Lexington and Beth Cook Farrell of Lexington; his grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Daniel and Jessica; his sister-in-law Nancy Penley (Hooper); and also Betsy Goss (Hooper). He is also survived by loving nephews and nieces.
