He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jyoti Rao (Gollerkeri); his children, Vikram Rao (Beth Waters) of Maynard and Anand Rao (Angela Chien) of Portola Valley, CA.; his siblings, Subba Rao of Bangalore, India and Meera Hosangadi; and his grandchildren, Indira and Anjali Rao. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
