He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Hayes and Mary Hayes (Warren); his wife Joan (Chateauneuf); his sister Jacqueline Dowe (Hayes); his daughter Kristin (Donn Frohock); his grandchildren, Grant "Harry" Frohock and Allyson Frohock; and his brother-in-law William Dowe, Jr.. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
