He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Byron and Catherine Byron; his former wife Elizabeth Byron (Borrelli); and his brothers, Joseph (Mary), Thomas (Adeline) and Michael Byron.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Borrelli; his children, James T. Byron, Jr. (Grace), Thomas M. Byron (Raylene), Catherine Sacco (Richard) of Englewood and Elizabeth Byron (Betty) of Lawrence, MA; and his sister-in-law Joan Byron. He is also survived by many nieces/nephews, extended family and friends.
