He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois A. Neilson (Demers) and John A. Neilson. He is survived by: his wife Lois M. Neilson (Baxter); and his brother Rick Neilson (Terumi) of Raynham. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
