He was predeceased by: his parents, John Galanis and Helen Dres Galanis; and his siblings, Peter Galanis, William Galanis, Louis Galanis, Georgia Pappas, Ethel Geanoulis, Jane Droukis and Emily Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia; his children, John (Christine Galanis), Ethel (Paul DePasquale) and Angela (Barry Mitchell); and his grandchildren, Andrew Galanis, Constantine Galanis, Derek DePasquale, Nicholas DePasquale, Andrew Mitchell and Hannah Mitchell.
