She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lillian Sadie Marshall (Benjamin) and Kenneth Witheril Marshall; her husband William R. Buchanan, Jr.; her daughters, Jennifer Lawrence (Melvin) of Greenfield, Anne Buchanan Weiss (Kenneth) of South Deerfield and Jane Buchanan of Greenfield; and her pet Dawg. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to All Souls Church, to the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, or to Green Burial Massachusetts.
