He was predeceased by: his parents, Imre' Herkner and Maria Herkner (Steigler); his sister Szerena Meszaros; and his godson Frank Soos. He is survived by: his children, Judy Douglas (Jess) of Leyden, Tamas Herkner of Greenfield and Zsuzsana 'Sue Randall of Greenfield; his cousin Adorjan Erdos of Germany; his niece Zsuzsa Toth-Meszaros; his nephew Gyorgy Meszaros; his goddaughter Erika Crocker Soos; and his wife Maria (Onodi). He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
