He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Zahner, and Irene Zahner, Jr. (Costello); his sibling Christian A. Zahner, II; his sister-in-law Deborah Zahner; and his granddaughter Katie Zahner.

He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Zahner (Giandomenico); his sons, Paul Zahner, Jr. (Courtney) of North Attleboro, Brian Delano (Dawn) of Mansfield and Stephen Delano (Cynthia) of Walpole; his siblings, Judy Mitchell of Wrentham, John Zahner (Deborah) of Plainville, Joseph Zahner of Wrentham, Dianne Labadie of Toms Brook, Virginia, Jeff Zahner (Kaile) of Barrington, Heidi Zahner of Franklin and Heather Tenaglia (Chris) of Wrentham; his siblings-in-law, Susie Zahner and Mark Labadie; and his grandchildren, Jake Zahner, Timothy Delano (Alyson), Matthew Delano, Allison Delano, Ryan Delano and Nick Baltadonis (Kimberly).
