He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene C. Vort and Mary Van Vort (Laverty). He is survived by: his wife Debra K. Van Vort (Bennett); his children, Paige R. Van Vort of Boston, Jordan T. Van Vort of Franklin and Brett A. Van Vort of Franklin; and his sisters, Jeanmarie Potvin of New York and Marianne Ging of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
