He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Paula M. McCarthy (Vendetti); his parents, Francis and Dorothy McCarthy (Kaufman); his aunts, Beverly Carroll and Shirley Petitt of Franklin; and his close friend Patti Wyllie of Franklin.

Donations may be made in his memory to the Franklin Municipal Veterans' Assistance Fund, 10 Daniel McCahill Street.
