He was predeceased by: his parents, Giannis "John" Karistianos and Ourania Karistianos (Tzimopoulos). He is survived by: his wife Joanne M. Karistianos (Pepin); his daughter Jennifer Karistianos of Bellingham; and his sister Pauline Karistianos of Needham.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501St.
