He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerenejildo and Eliberta; and his wife Rosalia Mendoza. He is survived by: his children, Luis Mendoza, Efrain Mendoza, Ismael Mendoza, Isaias Mendoza, Rubena Pineda, Carmen Contreras, Celina Mendoza and Alba Fuentes; and his sisters, Antonia Amaya, Elberta Mendoza and Amelia Corea. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
