With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alix Benson of Fall River, Massachusetts, born in Rumford, Maine, who passed away on March 31, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eric R. Galpin and Mary Ann Galpin (Crawford); her husband Edward O. Benson of Anne's Hospital; her sons, Eric Royce Benson and Ralph Edward Benson; her brother Gerald C. Galpin; and her half-sister Frances A. Galpin.
She is survived by: her children, James Warren Benson, Gerald "Jay" Scott Benson (Sharon Luther Benson), Matthew John Benson and Nancy Elizabeth Benson (Barry Scott Atkinson); her grandchildren, Jonathan Edward Benson and Mell Luther Benson; and her sister-in-law Nancy Louise Benson.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in Alix's memory to Doctors Without Borders or Rosie's Place in Boston.
