He was predeceased by: his parents, William Paul "Piney" Olsen and Eleanor Olsen (Jansen). He is survived by: his wife Maureen Olsen (McDermott); his sons, Brendan of South Beach, FL, Eric (Rachel Zussman) of Brockton and Colin of Quincy; and his sisters, Marylyn Hennigan (Thomas) of Osterville, Jacquelyn Donovan (Joseph) of Milton, Sandra Broderick of Weymouth, Jean Marie Olsen of Westwood and Janet MacLellan (Timothy) of Marshfield. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
