He was predeceased by: his parent Alfred D.; and his sibling Alfred Whelton. He is survived by: his spouse Marian B. Whelton (Lombardo); his parent Katherine Whelton (Skinner); his sister Barbara G. Francis; his niece Donna MacLean (Kevin); his nephew Marc Lombardo (Karen); his sibling Marie Whelton; and his stepsibling Beatrice "Betty" Gravel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
