He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Leuer and Lottie Leuer (Wagner); and his brothers, Gerald Leuer and Robert Leuer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Leuer (Hallahan) of East Bridgewater; his daughter Cheryl Coulombe (Michael) of New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Eric Coulombe of New Hampshire and Courtney MacNeil (Brandon) of New Hampshire; his great grandchild Eliza MacNeil of New Hampshire; and his siblings, Virginia Shimpach of Iowa, Richard Leuer of Oregon, Michael Leuer of Iowa, Edward Leuer of Arizona and Beverly King of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
