He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathleen. He is survived by: his children, Terri (Brooks) and Kevin (Peggy) of Scotch Plains, N. J.; his grandchildren, Meghan and Brian; and his great grandchildren, Chase and Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Detective Neil McGroary can be made to the Duxbury Police Department, 155 Mayflower St., Duxbury, MA 02332.
