Robert Barker Brack Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Barker Brack of Concord, Massachusetts, born in Newton, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 8, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brack and Evelyn Brack (Barker); his former wife Joan Haskell Brack; and also Michael Brack. He is survived by: his son Kenneth; his wife Janet Bailey; his daughter Virginia Brack (Clay Block); his grandsons, Maxwell Block (Nicole Dayhoff) and Samuel Block; his great grandchildren, Kenneth Brack (Denise), Amanda Brack (Andrew Lowrey) and William Brack (Jessica Ladd); his adoptive son Eric Cooper; his daughter Kiara Mundy; his stepson David Rossini (Molly Chafetz); his stepgrandchildren, Eliza and Gabriel; his stepdaughter Katherine Dennis (Joshua); his stepgrandchildren, Thomas and Miles Dennis; his siblings, Harold "Skip" Brack (Judith Bradshaw-Brown) and Beverly Droz (Thomas); his siblings-in-law, Steve Haskell, William Thompson and Lisa Pearson; his children, Jinny, Ken, Bill and Brack Charitable Foundation; and also, Christopher Brack (Megan), Benjamin and Isabel Brack. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to safety protocols for COVID, family and friends will gather to celebrate Bob's life during a private memorial service by invitation only at First Parish, 20 Lexington Road, Concord Center, on October 2, 2021 at 2:00 p. m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to honor Bob's memory may be made to Hope Floats Healing and Wellness Center, P.O. Box 345, Kingston, MA 02364, The Joan H. Brack Charitable Foundation C/O Citizens Wealth Management Operations, One Citizens Bank Way JCB115, Johnston, RI – 02919 (contributions earmarked for cancer research), or Open Table.

“I am so sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He was a dear friend and client of my husband, Beirne. Most of my memories of Bob are from conversations with Beirne. He had a special affinity for Bob because of his strong commitment to family and his wish to always do the right thing. We lost touch after Beirne retired from Goodwin Procter 12 years ago and began his 2nd career as General Counsel to Cardinal Sean. Beirne died last year at 74 from an aggressive cancer. My condolences to you! Joan Lovely”
