She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John C. Taliaferro and Emily Owings Taliaferro; her brothers, John C. Taliaferro III and Austin B. Taliaferro; her husband Edward W. Smith III of Baltimore; her children, Austin W. Smith (Deborah C. Smith) of Lisbon, NH and Catesby T. Gross of Hanover, NH; and her grandchildren, Austin T. Smith (Alexandra Milne), Alicia C. Smith and Lindsay B. Gross. She was also cherished by 10 nieces and nephews.
