She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Delsa Melendez (Peter Cosma) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Yvelsa (Vinny), Francina (Randall) and Yvania (Johnny); her siblings, Aquiles, Germania, Milagros and Diogenes; her husband Favio Ortiz; her grandson Yvan Amador Contreras Melendez; and her parents, Gustavo Valdez and Aracelis Hernandez. She was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.
