He was predeceased by: his former wife Elizabeth Burgwinkel (Hatstat); his sons, Steven Burgwinkel and Michael Burgwinkel; his grandchildren, Michael Finch and Sydney Burgwinkel; his brother Arthur Burgwinkel; his stepgrandson Marc Carrol; and his parents, William Burgwinkel and Margaret Burgwinkel (Baer).
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Burgwinkel (Nichols); his children, Ronald Burgwinkel (Theresa), Margaret Finch (William), Edwin Burgwinkel, Jr., Gary McCaffrey (Angela), Kevin McCaffrey (Cathie), Denise McCaffrey and David McCaffrey; his brother-in-law Willis Hatstat; his extended family, Mary Ann, Patrick McLaughlin, Isobel and Clement Martyn; his grandchildren, Ronnie, Tyler, Marc, Eric (Kelly), Patrick (Micaela), Alyssa, Jessica Burgwinkel, Lisa Smith (Jacob), Timothy Finch, Emily Polk, Krista Weaver (Jonathan), Kyle, Staci, Samantha, Shane McCaffrey and Jessica McLaughlin; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Juliana, Lexi, Shae, Patrick, Jameson, Brielle, David, James, Eliza, Izi and Alex; and his nephews, John, Walter, David Burgwinkel and Jason Hatstat. He is also survived by family; numerous cousins, and many dear friends.
