He was predeceased by: his siblings, Marjorie Magowan and Robert Burgwinkle; his niece Marjorie Magowan; and his parents, Walter Burgwinkle and Mary Burgwinkle (Clisham).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Burgwinkle (Kraft); his children, Beth Smith of Charlotte, NC and Kevin Burgwinkle (Sara) of Sterling; his grandchildren, Erin Burgwinkle and Ryan Smith; his nephew Mark Magowan (Carolyn); and his nieces, Mary Beth Bonci (Robert), Susan Magowan and Julie Boudillion (Daniel). He is also survived by extended family, and many dear friends.
