He was predeceased by: his mother Elaine Hodge; and his siblings, Howard Smith, George Matney, Eddie Smith, Anna Smith, Dot and Doris Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Leann Smith, Toni King of Dorchester, Kenneth Daniels of Roxbury, Jeffery Smith of Roxbury and Anthony Sandler of Chelsea; his siblings, Armand Smith and Ethel Smith; and his grandchildren, Ashiya Nicole Smith of Roxbury and Jazmyn Chemere Smith of Roxbury. He is also survived by many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
