Carolyn Snyder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Snyder (Boston, Massachusetts), born in Anniston, Alabama, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Colonel A. J. Thackston, Jr. and Julia Dukes Thackston of Orangeburg; her daughter Sara Katz; and her sister Susan Clark. She is survived by: her husband Donald Snyder of Hingham, MA; her daughter Amy Snyder Weed of Brookline, MA; her grandchildren, Catherine Savage, Maura Weed and Selene Yo; and her sisters, Nancy Nettles and Dorothy Lambright. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Redeemer (379 Hammond St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Epiphany School or Rosie's Place in honor of Carolyn's lifelong commitment to social justice and the wellbeing of women and children.
