He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Marchand and Josephine Marchand (Canis); and his brothers, Robert Marchand, Paul Marchand and Edward Marchand.

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley A. Marchand (Palardy); and his siblings, Theresa J. Marchand of Blackstone and David A. Marchand of Maine. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
