He was loved and cherished by many people including: his fiancée Mary M. Delgado; his parents, Antonette Smith (Scialoia) and Joseph Smith; his brother Alan J. Smith, Sr. of Gainesville, FL; and his nephews, Alan J. Smith, Jr. of Attleboro and Ric Smith of Gainesville, FL. He was also cherished by his extended family and always treated his nephews as his own children.
