He is survived by: his close friend Evelyn C. Olson of Springfield; his children, Walter J. Janick of Agawam and Diana Maksymiw of Agawam; his sister Sarah Galus of West Springfield; his niece Susan Peterson of Slidell, LA; and his grandchildren, Jocelyn Foti (Chris) of Agawam, Amanda Jerome (Brian) of Boston, Ashley Gavioli (Jeff) of Ludlow and Brooke Quesnel (Daniel) of Newton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
